Become a Zonal Coordinator(ZC)

The physical delivery of the Skill Development training would be done through various partner agencies to be identified by the respective State Governments/ UTs. The programme would be implemented through the IM, ZC, Vocational training Centres under MHRD, IGNOU centres, NGOs involved in IT literacy, Rural Self- Employment Training Institutes, Industry partners, companies with CSR provisions, etc.

Who can be a Zonal Coordinator?

1. A Zonal Coordinator must be an organization registered in India, conducting business in the domain of education/ Vocational Training.
2. The institution/ organization should be registered under any act of law in India.
3. The partner must have clearly defined objectives, well-documented processes and procedures covering the entire range of education /Vocational training.

Role of a Zonal Coordinator

1. A Zonal Coordinator shall be responsible to have or appoint the Training Centers in the identified Districts/ Blocks/ Gram Panchayats that would impart Vocational training to the beneficiaries.
2. A Zonal Coordinator shall be responsible for ensuring that the training centers adhere to the RPPS requirements.
3. A Zonal Coordinator shall be accountable for monitoring the overall working of the VTCs that fall under its purview.
4. A Zonal Coordinator shall be liable for accurate and timely reporting of the aforementioned work ascribed to the centers.

The ZCs/ IMs/ Corporate desirous of providing Vocational courses under the Rashtriya Prodyogik Prashikshan Sansthan (RPPS) are to meet the following requirements/ standards:

1. The institution/ organization should be registered under of law in India, e.g., in the case of a company it must be registered with the Registrar of Companies, in case of Society, it must be registered with the Registrar of Societies as so on and so forth.

2. The partner must have clearly defined objectives,well-documented processes and procedures covering the entire range of education/Vocational training.

3. A Zonal Coordinator shall be responsible to have or appoint the Training Centres in the identified Districts/ Blocks/ Municipalities/ Gram Panchayats that would impart Vocational training to the beneficiaries.

4. A Zonal Coordinator shall be responsible for ensuring that the training centres adhere to the RPPS requirements.

5. A Zonal Coordinator shall be accountable for monitoring the overall working of the centres that fall under its purview.

6. A Zonal Coordinator shall be liable for accurate and timely reporting of the aforementioned work ascribed to the centres.

Code of Ethics

Zonal Coordinator participating under RPPS are required toadhere to the following code of ethics:

1. Should NOT exaggerate, to gain unfair advantage, thecontents of the course(s) for which accreditation has been granted.

2. Should NOT guarantee benefits to student that is actuallyfalse or not feasible.

3. Should NOT project insufficiently supported claims of excellence in connection with employment.

4. Should NOT distort statement of RPPS for own gain.

5. Should NOT make statement offensive to the public. Thisincludes release of advertisements that are in bad taste.

6. Should NOT make statements of an ambiguous nature presentinga false picture in any stage/ part of the scheme of accreditation includinghardware/ software as also omissions and half-truth.

7. Should NOT involve in any other matter/ action repugnant tothe spirit of ethical practices, including, behaviour to/ by the beneficiaries,unauthorized use of copyrighted software, etc.

Points to consider after Accreditation

Provisional Accreditation is granted for the entire periodof the project.

1. Accreditation granted to a coordinator may be withdrawn, ifit fails to adhere to the norms or for other specified reasons of accreditation.

2. Observers who are experts in the field will visit the concernedZonal Coordinator and send their reports when complaints about the functioningof the partners are to be investigated.

3.After accreditation, the training partners are expected tosubmit a monthly progress report to RPPS Project Management Unit (PMU).

4.If anyaspect of the programme is found to be unsatisfactory or in non-compliance ofnorms,RPPS reserves the right to revoke the accreditation.
